Rob McLean is a Sydney-based teacher, dancer, and choreographer who is passionate about helping students discover who they are and express their full potential through movement and in life. With almost twenty years experience as a teacher, Rob has taught extensively throughout Australia and internationally in Japan, Canada, China, the USA, and New Zealand, on major camps, facilitating creative development programs and artist intensives, and curating performance opportunities, all grounded in personal growth and strong community connection.
Alongside his work in dance, Rob is a qualified teacher of mindfulness-based practices. His studies and education beyond the dance space has deeply strengthened his capacity to work with people, allowing him to support artists not only physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.
As a performer, Rob has worked with major Australian and international artists including Justin Bieber, Rita Ora, Jason Derulo, Kelly Rowland, Ava Maxx, Vera Blue, Matt Corby, Hayden Calnin, and many more. He’s also worked with many major brands including Hermès, Porsche, Cartier, Diesel, and Peter Alexander. In recent years, he has expanded his creative practice and storytelling into acting, starring in short films, music videos, television commercials, and on stage with Opera Australia. Rob’s diverse experience as a performing artist further supports his high respect as an educator in the community.
Rob believes in the transformative and healing qualities of movement, community, and self discovery, and is deeply committed to empowering students and artists to find their voice, meaning, and connection through creativity, movement, mindfulness, and community.
